Kuwait Annotated Checklist of Birds
The Kuwait Annotated Checklist of Birds follows OSME Region List and its nomenclature and is validated,
endorsed and approved by Kuwait Ornithological Rarities Committee (KORC).
It aims to be the most current and definitive checklist for Kuwait. It will be reviewed and updated after
every KORC meeting, as new species are added and submitted Rarity Forms adjudicated.

The Objectives of the Society
Our objectives include:
1- Bird studying, protecting, watching, and identifying for all the free flying birds in Kuwait.
2- Establish and run bird reserves in important bird areas and liaise with government officials.
3- Publish a bilingual full annual bird report to include all sightings of birds and the status of their habitat.
4- Educate the public by lectures and meetings.
5- Publish flyers, posters to educate the public for the protection of birds.
6- Establish a library to include most important birding books and magazines.
